MMAMMA Decor is dedicated to crafting handmade items, and our jewelry collection is no exception. We create jewelry with the utmost dedication and care, ensuring that our clients receive pieces they’ll cherish.
Currently, our jewelry is crafted from stainless steel, but we’re excited to announce that we’re expanding our offerings to include designs in silver sourced from my hometown, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Horse-Shoe Decoration
Crafting Eco-Friendly Masterpieces with a Mexican Flair!
We purchase used horseshoes with the aim of recycling them, as they are often discarded or sold for scrap iron. We repurpose them for our home decoration crafts, such as napkin holders and fruit bowls, although occasionally we use new ones for specific sizes or shapes.
To craft our products, we begin by soaking the horseshoes in a mixture of water, vinegar, and lemon for 24 hours. After thorough cleaning and drying, we use an iron brush or grinder to sand them. Next, we shape them using hammers or cutting tools. The crucial step involves welding to assemble the pieces, followed by additional sanding for a smooth finish. Finally, we spray paint the product in the color chosen by the customer.
